- Description this couscous is prepared from pre-cooked durum wheat semolina that is Organic Certified. This couscous is golden in color and has medium size granules. When cooked properly, the granules will be soft and can separate easily. Couscous is traditionally served under a meat or vegetable stew. It can also be eaten alone either flavored or plain, warm or cold, as a dessert or a side dish.
- To prepare pour 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, and 1/2 tsp salt in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup couscous, allowing to swell for 2 minutes. Add 2 to 3 teaspoons of butter or olive oil, and stir with a fork to separate grains.
Bring 1 cup (250 ml)of salted water or broth to a boil. Add 1 cup (190 g) couscous and stir. Cover. Remove from heat and let stand for five minutes. Stir to fluff up. Serve warm.
